This has been a fantastic bouncy compensatory that is very adaptable. This system is able to be used with a single tank on the back (with or without included adapter plate), with two tanks mounted on the back (by removing the adapter plate), and it can even accept side mounted tanks.

The Stainless Steel backplate and single tank adapter are great because they add extra weight on your back so when using aluminum tank(s) you need less weight on your belt/harness. I always dove with it using a single tank but bought it with the intent getting more into tech diving.

Before I was able to do that I had anxiety issue come up that have prevented me from diving. I used this BCD system in fresh water in Utah. It was always rinsed after every use, stored dry with a small amount of air in the bladder and always indoors. I had it serviced after the first 20 dives and had the should deflator valve replaced by the local shop (the one that releases air when you pull on the inflator hose). This was replaced due to it cracking when I dropped a tank on it.

It worked better than new for the rest of its 20 dive life because I also had it extended by a couple inches. Even though I have properly maintained it per the manufacturers recommendations, scuba equipment is life sustaining equipment. With that said, I still recommend having the BD properly inspected before use. It is just good common safety practice.

As with all used scuba equipment it is your responsibility to ensure it is in proper working order and safe for diving before use. Included in this listing is. 1 - Dive Rite Rec Wing.

1 - Dive Rite Stainless Steel backplate. 1 - Dive Rite Delux Harness with lots of D-Rings for customization gear configuration i. Adjustable in size from about medium to XL.

1 - Dive Rite crotch strap kit for the harness. 1 - OMS Stainless Steel Single Tank Adapter. 2 - XS-Scuba weight pockets attached to the single tank adapter straps for centering trim weights. 1 - ZAK line cutter (small razor blade knife).

Make sure to check my other listings. If you are searching for this type of dive wing set up you probably already know all the features.

Just in case here is a quick run down from the manufacturers pages. Best suited for tall divers or divers who require more buoyancy at the waist, the Rec Wing employs a Gusset Control System (GCS) cord woven through tabs on the front face of the wing. When tightened, the cord limits lift capacity so the Rec Wing can be used with single, backmount tanks. When the GCS cord is loosened, the Rec Wing provides its full lift capacity of 45 pounds/20.4 kg of lift and can accommodate two 95 ft3/15 L back mounted cylinders. Tough, ballistic nylon outer bag protects the wing from tears and abrasion.

The 15-mil urethane bladder is abrasion resistant, chemical resistant and resists the growth of microorganisms. A hybrid harness designed for divers who want the support of a backpack-style harness for better weight-load distribution, yet wish to dive a hard metal backplate. Designed like a mountaineer's backpack, the TransPlate harness disperses weight across the hips and back, minimizing shoulder strain. 11 Gauge 316L Stainless Steel. 5.2 lbs (2.4kg).

10.5´ (26.7cm)(widest point) x 15´ (39.4cm). 1.25´ (3.2cm) depth (with contour). In-water buoyancy: -5 lbs (-2.27 kg). The Stainless Steel backplate is ideal when diving aluminum tanks because it adds weight to counteract aluminum buoyancy characteristics.

If you frequently switch between double tank and single tank rigs, the OMS Single tank adapter is for you. It can mount on any of our harnesss like the DIR and Comfort II harness as well as our IQ backpack.
