Scubapro Classic BCD with Air2 inflator/regulator. This BCD is considered to be one of the most comfortable and stable BCD's on the market.
Scubapro developed this design many years ago and the same basic design is still being used today. In 1978, SCUBAPRO introduced the Stabilizing Jacket. A direct descendant of the Stab Jacket, the CLASSIC combines the best design and construction features of past and present. Built with puncture-resistant polyurethane-coated 420 denier nylon, the CLASSIC's seams are RF welded for maximum durability. The BC comes with a stainless-steel Super Cinch tank band system, which many consider to be the best.
Built tough, armed with a first-class valve system and offering outstanding buoyant lift, this BCD has 45 pound of lift according to Scubapro. The CLASSIC can handle any job, anytime. Its the original, and still the best and most stable BCD. This Classic BCD does not have the integrated weight system. I personally have two Classic BCDs that I use.
One does and one does not have the integrated weight system. Even with the integrated weight system, I still use my weight belt with shoulder straps. It keeps the weight on your hips. Which makes for a lighter BCD. The Air2 , is an inflator/regulator combines a backup regulator with a BC's buoyancy control system in one compact, at-the-ready unit.
SCUBAPRO introduced the inflator/regulator concept to diving almost 30 years ago with the introduction of the AIR2 (short for Alternate inflator/regulator). The AIR2 delivers air as smoothly as most primary second stages, and unlike traditional dangling octos, it is always within easy reach if needed. I also like that it is not dragging in things and getting dirty. As a BC power inflator the AIR2 fits comfortably in the hand, and the large inflate and deflate buttons can be differentiated by touch, improving safety on ascents. The AIR2 was diving's first inflator/regulator and it's still the best.
This Classic BCD was checked out recently. It holds air, the dump values work as intended and the Air2 functioned properly. It has two pockets on each side, one shallow and one deep. It has straps on the shoulders to help contain you lp hoses and 4 rings for attaching gear to your vest. The overall condition is excellent.
It was used very little for diving in the lakes of Minnesota. If you do not feel that this item is worth what we are asking, feel free to make an offer.
